ABSTRACT
PAINTING
PART I
Once you have moved beyond painting realistic picture-postcard scenes, through Neo-Impressionism and towards the increasingly forceful language of expressive painting, a moment arrives when form is no longer what matters most. Feelings begin to take precedence: feelings evoked by light, by a place, or simply feelings in themselves. Your greatest ambition then becomes to transfer those feelings to the canvas, hoping they will reach the viewer. That is when you begin to explore abstract painting more deeply.
